Yes, this is an instant coffee. It dissolves as the hot water runs through the K-Cup. But it is so refreshing and fast when you need a pick-me-up cup of coffee. The flavor is wonderful. My husband and I also like the hazelnut and caramel flavors. You can't beat this price, especially with "Subscribe and Save". I have found Grove Square at HEB in Texas, but it is more expensive than the price here. I'm not very picky about it being a perfectly brewed coffee with deep, rich taste. I just want something that is hot and tasty. Try it out and if you don't like it, share it with a friend or family member who will be glad to have some free, good coffee. A box of 18 K-Cups makes a great hostess gift. By the way, the order is for 3 boxes of 18, a total of 54 cups of coffee. I wasn't too clear on that when I ordered the first time. Why pay $3 for a cup at Starbucks when this is just as good, convenient at home, and tastes great?I have had my K-Cup machine for about 2 1/2 years, and have tried many different K-Cup options. I had purchased the Grove Square Hot Chocolate in the past for my kids, who said it was better than the more expensive hot chocolate I had purchased. So, when I this came up as a recommendation on my Amazon page, I decided to order it. If you have ever purchased the cappuccino out of the machines at the convenience stores/gas stations, that is what this tastes like. I make a large cup (12 oz) and put two equals in the cup, and it comes out great. Adding cream really overpowers the cream flavor, so I do not add creamer to the coffee, as I would with other coffees. This product arrived on time with no packaging issues, and the price is much cheaper than most K-Cups. I have ordered this item twice, and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who is looking for such a flavor in a K-Cup.I must concur with previous reviews stating that if you like "convenience store caps",you'll probably be OK with this product.I used two 6oz passes through our Keurig, added an ounce of liquid French Vanilla creamer and then ran the mix through a Latte blender we have.Although a tad thin(next time-2oz of creamer),the end result compared very favorably with the local 7-11 caps, which my wife and I both love.As for previous remarks about sucralose;if I hadn't already known it was there-I wouldn't have known it was there(cannot speak to medical aversions, you're kind of on your own there).Bottom line;at $.35/cup vs $1.50 & up,this does the trick!I no longer need to keep 'creamer' in the house with these because they are already creamy and sweetened. They kind of remind me (In a good way!) of the truck stop cappuccinos we get while we're on the road that drip into your cup all premade and wonderful. They're a little better than those though lol but it's the same concept. No creamer or sweetener required.Only complaint is I wish they were calorie free or lower calorie. I think they are about 80 or 90 calories each cup.One of my coworkers bought a giant K-Cup variety pack, and this variety was in there. Man, it's delicious. It's as good as those French Vanilla cappuccinos you might get from a gas station in the middle of the night when driving down I-5, but you can get it in your own kitchen.Does it have much coffee in there? It's hard to say. The box claims that there is some instant coffee inside, but it certainly doesn't taste like it. It simply tastes like sweet delicious vanilla.I can taste the sugar substitute in this quite strongly, but not enough to disgust me. I've tasted better, but seeing as it's not made by a barista and only takes 5 seconds to produce, I'd say it's not bad. I was able to drink the whole cup, and that's good enough for me. However, if the fake sugar makes you sick, I'd stay away from this. Let's just say it's not organic or homemade, which it's not claiming to be.This product is perfect, not overly sweet! When I bought a cappuccino @ a major gas station chain recently, it tasted too sweet and I couldn't drink it. I'll continue to buy this product on Amazon and/or @ Walmart where I typically buy it.The only complaint I have is that one of the K-cups was damaged upon arrival. Other than that, I received my order 3 days after ordering, which I was very pleased with.I am not one of the super picky coffee people out there. Before my favorite coffee was from Starbucks, the Caramel Machiato. But I absolutely LOVE this coffee. I don't really care that it is instant, because I think it tastes really good. My favorite thing is that on the medium Keurig setting I do not have to do a thing to it to enjoy it. No sugar, no cream, no nothing. Just pop the K-cup in, hit the button and enjoy. If you are not a really big coffee snob and like sweet flavored coffees you might love this one, I do.
